The danger of building and using scaffolds is real, with falls (leading cause of fatality in construction) being the greatest risk and of the potential presence of electrocution, falling object, and collapse hazards. With that in mind the use of scaffolds has shifted in home building to include some non-traditional methods of working at height. This session will review the basics of fall protection, tips on scaffold erection and items every scaffold user should know. It will also look at the hazards of using other methods such as man baskets and lifts with a question and answer segment at the end to share and resolve issues that contractors face.
